The Four Cities Young Leader Academy
The Dayton Sister City Committee, in partnership with the Dayton Mediation Center, is proud to be involved in organizing the Four Cities Young Leader Academy, a three-week immersive experience that will bring 18 students and three teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina's three largest cities (Sarajevo, Mostar, and Banja Luka) to Dayton in October of 2019.
Timing: The group is scheduled to arrive October 6 and depart October 29 and will be in Washington DC from October 15-18 for a trip (host families will not participate in this trip).

Currently, the committee is looking for home-stay families to house these students and teachers. The host families that are selected would receive per diems of up to $500 per family (total) to cover the costs of food. As part of the screening process, a BCI/FBI background check would be required for all individuals over 18 years old who will be living in the household during the visit. Pick-up/drop-off times will be flexible to accommodate host families, but generally drop-off will be between 8-9AM and pickup after 5PM each day.
If you are interested in becoming a host family, please fill out the application below and you will be contacted by a member of the committee to set up a home visit and interview. The application deadline for first consideration is March 31.
